Footings
A residential footing is the concrete base that supports your home’s foundation and carries its weight safely into the ground. Installed below the frost line on solid, undisturbed soil, a properly built footing provides a level, reinforced base for foundation walls. Careful layout, correct sizing, quality concrete, and attention to drainage ensure a strong start and a foundation built to last.
Foundation walls
Foundation walls are the vertical concrete walls built on top of the footings that support the structure above and enclose the basement or crawl space. We build foundation walls following drawing specifications and Ontario Building Code. This includes concrete requirements, rebar placement, and wall dimensions. Straight, level walls provide a true base that sets the client up for success in the next stage of construction, allowing carpentry and framing to move forward efficiently.
Weeping tile, damp proofing and water proofing
The weeping tile drain system is installed around the full perimeter of the foundation to collect groundwater and direct it away from the home or into a sump pit, depending on site conditions. Proper placement and stone coverage ensure consistent drainage around the foundation. Damp proofing is applied to the exterior face of the foundation walls, creating a protective barrier that helps limit moisture penetration and supports long-term foundation performance
Supplying stone for floor and weeper
We also supply and place the required stone for both the weeping tile system and beneath the basement slab. Proper stone coverage supports effective drainage, provides a stable base, and ensures the foundation system is prepared for the next stages of construction.
